My step dad and I decided we would get my mom a 30gb Ipod video for her birthday. Her birthday is next week Tuesday. I just received the shipment from newegg along with my two Seagate 7200.10 250gb HDD's . We have also spent a lot of time and money overhauling our home's audio systems, including a new 5.1 channel Yamaha 700w amp, Klipsch outdoor speakers for our deck, and Bose 2way speakers for their room/bathroom. The speakers are all being installed while she is at work to surprise her.
In the order I purchased the 30gb black Ipod Video, Itrip (FM tuner), AirClick (remote), AV wires, and a Rhino Skin aluminum/plastic case. Already I noticed the case and itrip/airclick are not compatible together which kinda sucks.
I need to now put a large amount of music on it from her friends cd's, and maybe even a couple movies just for the hell of it. I have a large number of xvid encoded avi's and I have no clue how or what to convert them to, but I know it has to be done.
Any help with loading this thing up would be greatly appreciated. Freeware, or paid for software you recommend would also be great as I will be in charge of maintaining and adding music to the player. Also any other devices you feel are worth purchase for the Ipod would also be great to know of.
Thanks in advance.
