Is CPU-Z good for checking temps?

I need a program for checking my CPU temps, but on download.cnet.com, people say that CPU-Z kinda sucks. If it really does, what are some other programs that will allow me to check CPU temps?

CPU-Z doesn't offer temperature monitoring. Try HWINFO, CoreTemp, RealTemp, AIDA64, or other similar utilities (there are quite a few other options too).

It's kinda sketchy though, on CNET, people are giving coretemp bad reviews, what's up with this?

real temp for intel chips

coretemp (isnt sketchy this program has been around forever) is better for early intel chips and all AMD chips.

CPU-Z doesnt even support temp readings. (which probably has alot to do with why its bad at it)

I don't think there's any such thing as "program x is better for y". It either works or not.
I personally switched to HWiNFO for monitoring everything about a year ago and have been happy ever since. Realtemp is viable alternative if you only need CPU monitoring, though.
