i've tried different thermal grease also different cooler more than 20 and in every case the 8100 is hotter than 8400....Hi, gasolina. If I'm not mistaken different processors could have different max frequency and maybe they can have different temperatures. In your case, I would check the thermal grease if it's another? Maybe layer applied differently. Also, you can lubricate your cooler to reduce the temperature (as I understand, you are worried about the temperature, so there surely will not be worse and in the extreme case your cooler and processor will last longer)
