Is It Worth To Upgrade From a X6-1090T to an I5-10400F? [with R9 390]

I agree, some memory list's Ryzen support specifically, at least look to buy that IMHO.
He's picking a ram for an intel build

Can you find this kit in your place ?
Its the best ram kit for intel's non k processors like the 10400f cause it has tight timings

Thank you for replies
since i need 16 GB ram (as u said) and im on budget, do u guys prefer any other Cheaper M/B ?
Like this two:
1) GIGABYTE B460 HD3 (rev. 1.0)
2) BIOSTAR B460GTA LGA <--- this one is really good on budget in my country

and do u guys prefer a Single 16GB ram or Double 8GB Ram?
(TBH i prefer Single 16GB because its cheaper)
1) Geil Evo Forza 16GB 3200Mhz CL16 Memory
2) Geil Evo Potenza 16GB 8GBx2 3000Mhz CL16 DDR4 Memory
3) G.SKILL Aegis 16GB 3000MHz CL16 Memory

and one more thing; i've got a Deepcool Gammaxx S40 on my X6 1090T..
Does it Compatible with I5-10400F ??

 Thanks a Million

Asrock has some decent budget boards like the B460 Phantom Gaming 4 or MSI B460M-PRO-VDH as for the ram get an 2x8gb 2666 with cas latency of 16 or 15, kit from a known brand like Corsair, G.skill, Kingston, Adata

As for the cooling your Deepcool is listed as Compatible with socket 1200.

thank you guys
so, im gonna buy these items:
M/B: Biostar B460GTA Motherboard
CPU: I5-10400F
RAM: Gskill Ripjaws V 16GB 8GBx2 3000Mhz CL15 DDR4

u sure this M/B has a good performance for 10400F?

You may want to wait for B560 boards the 10400 performs quite a bit better at 3200 vs 2666 and B560 lets you set your ram above 5000 for some boards.

Seems the board may support 2933 I guess that is ok.... Although B560 looks quite a bit better than most B460 boards and better supports Rocket Lake for a possible drop in upgrade down the line if you end up needing more CPU power at some point

Not a big difference between them B560 has faster usb support but they dropped Max of PCI Express Lanes to 12, B460 has 16

Or you could just go buy the cheapest Z490 instead.
Depending on where you're from, it's way below $150 these days. Don't expect B560 to hit that price point anytime soon, even if they are available.

Huge upgrade, do it!!!
