If you want more fps, it's cpu that you must change. 5800x3d is the best on AM4 socket.
Generally speaking, an nvme upgrade would be nice.
Since your psu is ok, 16 ram is not terrible and gpu has been just upgraded....

In higher resolutions, you'de be more gpu bottlenecked.

Yeah as others are saying upgrade #1 should be the CPU #2 should be the SSD and then #3 the memory. For 1080p and even 1440p with some settings adjustment the 3070 should be perfectly fine. Overall you have a very balanced system but the CPU is beginning to show some age. A zen3 upgrade would help frame pacing and lag spikes. Mind you I wouldn't say any of this is strictly necessary

Some CPU gaming benchmarks, 5700x has almost same performance as 5800x if you enable PBO with AutoOC and you set up Curve Optimizer (my 5700x is boosting 4850Mhz all cores in some games) , the x3D is better if you want to spend the extra $ and you mainly using your computer for gaming.

Even 5600x is better for gaming if you want to spend even less but personally i wouldnt go for a CPU with less than 8 cores at the moment , some games are compiling the shaders at start and it takes more time with 6 core (some might even use 8 cores in game, i dont know) and its better to have an 8 core CPU if you open many programs in the background.

Edit: Be sure to update your MB BIOS before you change the CPU

Hi hamza, if you don´t plan on upgrading to AM5 CPU, MOBO and DDR5 RAM and want to maximize AM4 paltform you could go for the 5800X3D.
In 1080p you will notice the difference. Even if you upgrade the monitor to 1440p later on.
I have a 5500 right now but my next upgrade would be the 5800X3D.

Agreed on this too. 5800X3D is pure win, even after you move on from the 3070 on to your next GPU. So itll be value now and more value later on.

NVME is a waste of time unless the price is equal to a SATA SSD. It does not affect gaming. HDD > SSD sure, but price/GB is a thing

First of all, you will not get stutter from your current cpu/pc. It is coming from something else.

Le me guess, for pubg you use dx12? If so, switch to dx11 and enjoy the smooth gameplay. Pubg developers are totooo and don't know how to implement dx12. Damn, if to think, many developers don't know how to implement dx12... only smooth game I have played with dx12 is mortal kombat.

I agree with the idea of upgrading your storage to an NVMe drive as they are so cheap now, but I'd also consider upgrading the CPU to a Ryzen 5 5600. Make sure you have the latest BIOS update before swapping CPUs. Lots of good build reviews out there for the 5600.

Of cause,perfect for gaming.
A 3070 is suitable for most of games at 1440P,with almost highest graphics settings..
However,if your 3070 cames recently,it's under a high risk of 'mined card',which may effect you gaming exp with errors.But if it cames as soon as it was released,it's perfect.

With what you have, you should not have a stuttering issue. If you PC is connected to your router through WiFi, I would try a wired connection and see if helps. I would also run a packet loss/ pining check to see if your internet connection is an issue using a program like winMTR.

As far as the hardware setup you have now, the only upgrade I would do, is get a 1Tb or a 2Tb SSD and install all of your game applications and portals on it, like Steam and PUG.

....that's a very capable machine and gradually you can upgrade some components so you take the most out of it.
At first you may need a bigger SSD/nvme. If you play just one two games, it's fine but in general you'll need the extra space for newer games.
Secondly, the CPU. It's already holding the GPU back but in any case everything will be playable at 1080p even with any GPU bottlenecking. The 5800X3D is the only option here, especially now that's been heavily discounted.

The GPU is ok for now. Some tweaks will be needed on very heavy/unoptimized titles but it's ok.
A year or two later you may upgrade the gpu as well but the rest of the system will be fine to support the next one.
