Is there is a program like smcFanControl

hi i have Q6600 @2.4ghz i want to overclock it to 3.0Ghz but i don't want to buy new aftermarket cooler i just need a program to control my CPU Intel stock fan and rise the minimum RPM i have asus P5KR i tried the Q-fan and asus probe-II but it seems that it doesn't read the cores temp it just stick with CPU temp which is below the cores temp buy 8 degrees........... so no increase in fan speed

don't tell me that i need to update my bios cause i hate it......

my Intel stock fan have 4 pins and it does go for about 3000-3500 RPM

if there is software on windows like smcFanControl:http://www.conscius.de/~eidac/index.html which is for MAC i think it will be very useful and I'll be grateful.

There should be a fan speed option in the BIOS probably under "Health". If that doesn't work then speedfan might work. And if that doesn't work then plug the CPU cooler into a different fan header on the board (which will make the fan run 100% all the time).

I tried all of it with no solution but i make some tests to the fan...... it seems that it goes for about 2700-3000 rpm when the motherboard became hot about 40c not when the CPU became hot.

If I understand you right you are saying your fan reacts to the mobo temp not the CPU temp.
So did you plug it in the right header marked CPU on the motherboard? They sometimes are right next to echother those fan connectors.
Not that it matters much, if it responds to the heat to your motherboard it will also respond to the heat of the CPU since the CPU makes the motherboard hot.
It could also be that your monitoring program reports it wrong, the 'CPU temp' is reported twice most often, one for the sensor inside the CPU and one for one on the motherboard underneath the CPU, but it could happen that a program calls that second CPU sensor the wrong name.

yes I'm sure i connect it to the right header and my cpu doesn't make mobo hotter i have some custom ventilation system which make my mobo in very good temp but i can't reach higher rpm for the cpu fan as long as my mobo is cold so thought that increasing the rpm will complete my custom system ..... and I'm stick with the stock intel fan because there is no good brands in our market.

asus fan control often has profiles. try setting it to the performance profile.

try speedfan then.

Forgive us, but our basic attitude goes along the lines of "if they knew their stuff, they wouldnt be asking questions" - we tend to assume people are newbies because the majority simply are.

speedfan can control fan to be slower not quicker i give 100% but it doesn't goes faster ..... and i said "no offense" Although the environment became some how hostile ..........

some times i Hesitate to post a question ........ and it seems that there are good reasons ( answers became hostile some times ) and i want it to be good Debate...

nah no hostility from me.

If you have fan control disabled in the bios... thats as fast as it CAN go. you cant magically make voltage appear out of nowhere. If you want higher RPM than that, buy another fan
