Issues with clock speed not increasing

Like suggested by eidairaman1, short pin 1 and 8 (Its actually 1 and 5, but people on the internet called it 1 and 8). Read the guide carefully.

Yeah, unfortunately I need this functioning for work and this will involve dismantling and possibly screwing up my card. I'm going to have to wait until I'm done with this project before trying it. But I'll reply back once I'm able to unplug the PC.

Also, the first link only mentioned doing this if i can't POST and there seems to be a lot of confusion on that thread about 1-5 and 1-8.
The second link looked like more work than giving up on gaming to focus on more lucrative ventures.
In the end, I might just manually turn up the clocks when I play something until the card dies.

Update:

I just got a moment off from work and looked up the CH341A on amazon. It won't arrive before I leave the country for work in a few days.

In the meantime I read through the article and found there was a linux version of amdvbflash (I run linux as my main os).
I was able to flash my original BIOS that came with the card, but it presented issues with graphical artifacts on boot (blue square with rainbow vertical lines through it) like it originally did when I requested help years ago.

Then I flashed the 273037.rom that VuurVos recommended, but it stopped the card from working and I had to use my cpu integrated graphics to get back into the system.

That 273037 bios changed my VGA subsystem to
ASROCK Phantom gaming d radeon rx580 8g oc

and output this in the amdvbflash -i :

adapter seg bn dn dID asic flash romsize test bios p/n

0 0000 01 00 67DF Polaris10 P25Q80H 100000 pass 113-TIC34820-001

I then put eidairaman1's bios 245411.rom back on and the card is working again.
this is the output I currently have:

adapter seg bn dn dID asic flash romsize test bios p/n

I ran some benchmarks on linux and the clocks never change from 300Mhz

Do you guys think I still need the programmer chip?
I am able to flash bios in linux without issues.

That bios shared the same part number listed on your board. Can you make a full picture of your PCB?

If you are able to flash, no. Its last resort for recovering a bricked device.

I would be usefull to know what is written on the memory? I think it is Samsung but the part number no clue.

Can you try this bios in the meantime? It has K4G80325FB and K4G80325FC support.

Wtf is the deal with the ram chips?

Get a magnifying glass and lower light over some of those ram chips and see if the ram states fb, fc, fd, fe

I'm not sure what you mean. It is very obviously FC.

Also, Vuurvos, I put that Bios in and it loaded up, but I'm unable to run benchmarks at the moment, so I'll have to sneak some in tomorrow.

The picture you posted the RAM chips are a blurry mess, you can't make any text out in them.

Seems this GPU has seen better days and is likely on it's last legs after years of use/abuse, flashing et' al, artifacting and not clocking up under load are tell tale signs..

Just curious as to what you could "need this for work" at this point you could probably snag one in full working order for like $30 or so, I'm sure the time you have spent trying to get it "working" would have been worth more than that at this point.

You should never see clocks as high as 1700 on that GPU, not even the best binned 580's or 590's maybe aside from silicon lottery would clock that high, 15-1600mhz are the limits for the 580/590 silicon and even then they were pushed to their limit.

Though I admire your resolve, hopefully you can get the outcome you are looking for

None of the ram chips in the photo were clear enough to determine exactly what ram you have.

Bios files are not interchangeable unless if it has the exact ram that your card has physically, so example fb fc fd fe are not compatible with eachother, nor is hynix ajr, mjr, or micron hf and hfb

My confusion comes from the fact that this is the exact same photo of the ram that eidairaman1 looked at two years ago and gave a recommendation.

Now I'm being told "wtf".
If you guys wanted a clearer picture of the ram, why didn't you ask? (I said I will take photos of anything you need)
Why didn't you ask last time if it this wasn´t good enough and would cause years of abuse?

Also, for work, I need the video outputs. I use multiple monitors for viewing images, code, and documents, as well as meetings with clients & my wife's patients. I work twelve hour days and get paid far less than ideal.
I am working right now. The only reason I am able to message on here is because you guys are a section on one monitor.

This computer only looks at firefox pages, teams meetings, images, and vscode. (my work is CPU based)
"Working" is what it is doing now.
I think you guys are under the impression I'm a teenage gamer and understand half of what you guys are talking about. (I don't. If I knew what to do, I wouldn't need to ask you guys for help.)

I bought the card on Amazon two years ago so my wife could play video games. After coming on this forum last time, I told my wife she couldn't play, and we used it purely for work.
Now my wife wants us to play games with friends.

Thank you Marcus for trying to explain the clock speed stuff. That is the closest anyone has come to explaining anything. I don't want 1700mhz. I want the clock speed to change and I want to understand why they aren't. I doubt a $30 GPU is going to run anything my wife wants. And spending hundreds on a new card without working to solve this one is like throwing away dirty clothes because I don´t know how to use the laundry machine.

Also, Vuurvos, I put that Bios in and it loaded up, but I'm unable to run benchmarks at the moment, so I'll have to sneak some in tomorrow.
Please let us know if the last bios worked beter than the previous bios.

Same issue.

GPU is at 300Mhz, 100% load in any game at the start screen. (less than 20fps) 48ºC
CPU is at 10%

3D_FULL_SCREEN profile

Card is reading as an AMD Radeon RX 570 Series with this bios.

For reference, I'm using my laptop to compare the same games (iGPU Intel Iris Xe) and kernel. My laptop can run the load screens at 50-60fps and is adjusting clock speed with load. Both are using Vulkan (obviously one intel, the other radeon) and mesa 24 drivers.

That doesnt really mater for a RX580 2048SP. RX580 2048SP is an overclocked RX570.

Some other D00033 bioses with Samsung K4G80325FC support which you can try.

I'm back home and tested the three VBIOS you posted, and can confirm that the NEXTRON VBIOS allows all of my monitors to work and is fluctuating SCLK speeds.
I haven't done extensive benchmarks, but this is the first one that has changed the speed automatically under load.

Thank you for the help and the dedication VuurVOS.
Your patience is much appreciated.
