Jonsbo introduced the futuristic-looking CR-401 air CPU cooler. The U-type aluminium dual fin-stack cooler features a monolithic industrial design thanks to the metal shroud concealing the sides and top of the fin-stacks, and a discrete 120 mm fan between the two fin-stacks underneath. The top features an RGB LED lighting diffuser, while keeping up with the black color-scheme of the shroud, the aluminium fin-stacks and heat-pipes are black. Five coated copper heat pipes make direct contact with the CPU at the base, with their two ends passing through the two fin-stacks; which are ventilated by the 120 mm fan between them in pull-push configuration, which has an RGB LED-illuminated frame of its own.

The discrete 120 mm fan takes in PWM input, spins between 800 to 1,600 RPM, with a noise output ranging between 18 to 25 dBA, although the company didn't list its air-flow. Measuring 125 mm x 88 mm x 165 mm (WxDxH), the CR-401 weighs 860 g. It is rated by its designers for thermal loads of up to 135W, and hence only supports today's mainstream-desktop CPU sockets, including AM4, AM3(+), FM2(+), and LGA115x. The RGB LED elements of the diffuser and fan take in standard 4-pin input, and support a 256-color palette. The company didn't reveal pricing.

I don't like the top of it but man, the rest looks industrial as heck; super ominous. I hope the bottom is full nickle plated instead of exposed copper.

I don't like the designs on the top just the logo would have matched the sleekness of this heatsink imo

Can we just get an LCD or, even better, OLED display on top of the cooler that we can customize ourselves already?

Only half-joking here...

Hmmm, but are you really? I wonder. :D Seriously, something like what you just described would be epic :cool:

In regards to this cooler here, I'm particularly fond of the top/RGB designs. Would go great with my Ryzen build. But I'm kinda worried it would cost a fortune lol

Compact dimensions, compatibility, silence (the fan should be muffled); it's an interesting proposition.
Agreed. I like this!
Looks neat but I wouldn't touch it if the shroud can't be removed.
Also agreed. Fans need servicing/replacing from time to time. If the shroud isn't removable, the whole setup would be at the mercy of the quality of the fan. If it's not serviceable, it's not acceptable for long-term use and would therefore be little more than a short-term novelty.

@btarunr Links?
EDIT; Nevermind: http://www.jonsbo.com/en/products_28_27.html
Another edit; http://www.jonsbo.com/en/images/g177/19.jpg Based on that picture, which looks real, it would seem like the shroud can be removed. And based on that bracket, it seem like it would fit just about any socket. So this is looking really good!
Yet another edit; When you click on the specs tab, it shows " Max. CPU Power Consumption: ≤ 135W " which would seem to indicate that the CPU TDP rating must fall under that point. I wonder how correct that might be?

FINALLY, some one came up with a slightly fresh and lightly revised design for what has been up till now, an extremely mee-too, copy-cat congloberated cluster-mess of Air coolers that all looked almost identical and performed virtually equal to one another. Hopefully there will be some tests and reviews soon to see if the hype matches it's real-world performance,,,,
