Hello can you kindly help me Identify if this is a real rx 580 2048sp 8GB,the part number in bios is null. My bios is at times crashing causing rain effect on screen. Wouldn't mind a bios recommendation please. I bought from online, pretty sure its a mining card as it came all dusty.

Memory support of the current bios is wrong. Your card has Hynix H5GQ8H24MJR.

Can you try this bios with Hynix H5GQ8H24MJR support?

The memory chips in your images are SKHynix (H5GQ8H24MjR-R4C), not the Samsung implied by GPU-Z (from Bios). PCB is 109-c94037-00_02. Device ID and subsystem ID indicates https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/207955/207955 (and it appears to have the same VRAM chips) but I'm kind of out of my depth if it's the right BIOS for you. EDIT: Link was to wrong VRAM chip bios, see VuuurVOS suggestion instead.

After using this bios everything for a second was at smaller resolutions, I think the drivers hadn't kicked in but after the resolution reseted to normal this were GPUz readings. What does this mean

Point to note, the previous driver supported 4k display on the hdmi port, this bios works at 1080 only. But it working fine, it even fot uefi enabled

The bios you listed was among the first I tried, it bricked the card but I was able to recover using previous forum post. Thanks

The bios is very stable, No flickering and black screen after multitaking. Will test the gaming and give results. Only a few crashes now with the Amd graphics software and causing the vlc to misbehave and loose sound. I tried to attach video but it doesn't show. Its like motion blur of a kind, anyway to solve it

Another point to note this too changed, it was always at 300 now its 1284

Something weird happened, so as i said earlier this bios support uefi, so I disabled legacy csm as the previous had to turn it on. Now this is happening during splash screen but after it boots, everything is normal

The colors keep changing, i dont know how to upload a video

If the colors are strange during POST Logo, I wouldn't pay much attention to it. It happens sometimes with older AMD card.

Does that mean the card is an rx 570 8gb?
A RX580 2048SP is an overclocked RX 570 card. I wouldn't worry about that. In your case this bios runs at the same speed as a stock RX580 2048SP card so no performance difference.

Sorry for linking the wrong BIOS =)

UEFI seems finicky with some RX cards, it doesn't work at all for my RX560 in bios. Not sure it's worth the hassle to try to fix, if it works in bios and performe in Windows, enjoy.

For random issues I'd try to run hwinfo (keep an eye ot for errors and abnormal readings) in the background to see if you have any memory errors while running e.g. GitHub - GpuZelenograd/memtest_vulkan: Vulkan compute tool for testing video memory stability (and always run stuff random people on the internet link to trough virustotal.com) for testing the VRAM, lowering clocks in "Adrenaline" might also mitigate potential issues.

I also, once all is stable (or as a last stability resort) highly recommend looking into undervolting trough "Adrenaline". Also make sure you have all drivers correctly installed if there are performance issues.

Best of luck!

Thanks alot you are a true legend. played some few come which had complications, the games are really smooth, the graphics are very stable, was able to achieve 4k, just had not changed display settings in window. If you ever maybe find a solution (maybe a better bios) to the post logo colors please tag me. Really appreciate the help.

With this bios, the machine won't boot when I power up. I think its hard bricked I have to short the gpu.
And if you cleared the CMOS?

And if you cleared the CMOS?
Tried that, only worked when I enabled legacy boot and the uefi support is still enabled in GPUz . But it leaving screen tearing and fans increasing rpm.

I dont like enabling legacy boots as it disables safe boot. My hp desktop after safe boot is disabled it brings a warning 'the machine is not in a committed state'

Before (the previous rx580 2048sp bios) without the uefi enabled in GPU-Z and legacy boot disabled, the computer would boot directly to windows and jump boot after a few red beeps. Now it just one white beep and wont boot until I enable legacy boot.

I like the rx 570 bios better, apart from the weird post logo colors, which you said I shouldn't mind. Everything is working perfect

I will try this one though, you have good recommendations

That bios didn't even had correct memory support. GPU-Z should show what is physical on your card.

Some other bios you can try:
It bring a pop up saying 'Subsystem IDs mismatch'

UEFI and secure boot should work with CSM legacy enabled, depending on the bios.

CSM legacy mode will how ever disable rebar, but that is likely not an issue here anyway.

Follow the mini flash guide of eidairaman1 and it will explain how to flash the bios. Version of amdvbflash is very important. Only use version 2.93 for your card.

I think I will stick to the first rom before I do something wrong. After I did this the computer boot and stuck on desktop on dgpu while the igpu worked fine. The first bios works fine so I will stick to it(i don't mine the weird post colors anymore) . Thank you alot for the help

Hae VuurVOS, update on this, so I installed Warzone and the game crashed an brought the green screen. So after research I found it was drivers failing so I found this rom https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/226538/226538 and I installed it. The Subvendor changed to Powercolor from AMD/ATI. and the clock speeds too. Below is a screenshot of the GPU at idle and GPUZ stats, very quite than the RX 570 vBios. and after launching warzone everything runs smooth no green screen. Is it normal for GPU to change subvendor? And another issue, I tried auto overclocking, the GPU refreshes and the amd softwares closes, when I run it, the softwares bring the overclocked GPU is that normal or is it power issue?

Everything apart from the overclocking runs smoothly.

You are using a Dataland RX 580 2048SP bios. That bios is used on a card with 8-pin PCI-e power. Your card has 6-pin PCI-e power.
It is not strange that the subvendor changes since that part is baked into the bios you have flashed.

Should I remove this bios then?

You card isn't a Dataland/PowerColor/TUL card. Its from a different brand.

The part number states 109-C94037-00_02. I think a bios with "C940" boot message will be the best fit for your card.
