Hi,

I am looking to find a great Cooler for my next build. I had the CORSAIR h100i and h100i v2. The H100i v2 was a bit noisy for my taste even at low temperatures. I leave in hot areas so room temperature is not low. I game a lot.

What I want is a Liquid cooler that is easy to use and doesn't make NOISE and of course can keep my PC cool when i game

I game at 4k with ultra settings.

My issue is that Kraken uses CAM software and i have read that its software is not on par with Corsair. What do you guys believe? any Kraken users? Anything else you can suggest?

G1 Gtx 980 ti SLI in a 760T. Okay. Whew.

(IMHO) I think that case will struggle to keep your components cool, and I think that is why your H100 has been so loud. (I'm assuming you put it in the top of your case blowing out) It is my opinion that the lack of ventilation holes in the area of the expansion slots will lead to higher GPU and case temperatures, especially with the GPU heat load (2 x 260 watt GPU's) (gaming average according to W1zzard) that you have. (the 600C/Q are a perfect example of (IMHO) venting the expansion slots area properly) Couple that with the quiet 140 mm fans supplied, and the H100 ends up working in a very hot environment. (IMHO)

Suggestions:
  • Have you thought about going with a full WC'ing loop? You might be surprised how affordable they are in comparison to the AIO's. There are some nice kits now that take the guesswork out of what parts to get. (such as EKWB ek-kit-s360)(Alphacool NexXxoS Cool Answer)
  • Water cool everything. You might be able to find blocks for those GPU's used and cheap at this point. Or, even just water cool the top GPU along with the CPU.
  • Have you considered the Alphacool Eisbaer AIO's? 120/240/280/360 mm versions. Testing puts them right up there with the Swiftech and EK AIO's and the price is better than the X62. They are all copper in case you wanted to add a GPU block(s) latter.

I love how people assume a better AIO = 4k performance while using a working AIO. I'm all sorts of confused already.

I didn't see that in the OP's question. What I saw was "I want something quieter."

Yeah but then you recommended a kit that may not even be quieter for more monies.

The H100i V2 was noisy because the fans were loud. I can't hear the pump at all even in performance mode. Put the H100i v2 in quiet pump mode and quiet fan mode and it make almost no noise.

The Corsair link software is nothing to write home about. The NZXT software looks more robust from the looks of it.

I can speak as an NZXT user that it took them years to make it launch correctly.

You have the CAM software? are you happy with it my friend??
First off double posting is against the rules. You can multiquote.

The CAM software has gotten better I'll admit, but that only thing I can think of it being good for is changing a few cooler settings and lighting. Needs a lot more tweaking options.

Benchmark Scores well I've fried a 775' P4 12 years ago, that counts?
well ... still quite happy with my Water 3.0 Pro, with Riing 12 fans it makes zero noise.... be sure to fit decent fans, silent ones or High performance ones...

About the case and hardware, i guess it is something to consider changing there....

Regards,
