Here's my case (it's a long review).

I concluded that at the most I might have to cut of a part of the HDD enclosure.

If that's not practical... well a new case would win.
I hope I can manage with the snipping off though if it's necessary. I've grown kinda fond of this case of mine... :ohwell:
