laptop fan rattle at low loads after installing throttlestop

My Asus GL503VD laptop fan makes annoying rattle at low cpu loads but as soon as I run a demanding game the rattle goes away. This only seems to happen after I install throttlestop. I replaced the old rattly fan a few months ago and the noise was fine but it started rattling like before soon after installing throttlestop and that is when the previous fan started getting ratlly, after installing throttlestop.. Are the any settings in the throttlestop program I can tweak to stop this or another program that can help me manage fan speeds.

I scour several pages of forum posts and did a few forum search queries but did not see any relevant entries that applied to laptop fans. Thank you for your consideration and please respond with a relevant link if this issue has been answered previously on the forum.

If you recently replaced a rattling fan and the new fan has also started to rattle, that sounds like an issue with some defective fans. Are you using an original OEM fan? If this is just a random fan you swapped, do you know if it has the same specs?

After many years of answering user's questions in a wide variety of different forums, I cannot ever remember hearing about ThrottleStop causing fans to rattle. ThrottleStop does not have any direct control over your fan.

Are you using ThrottleStop to make any specific changes to your CPU? Perhaps changing the C states or voltages is a problem for your laptop. Post some ThrottleStop screenshots so I can see your setup.

I was using throttlestop to undervolt because of the amazing thermals. The original fan that went wonky was oem but at that time it was a few years old so I thought perhaps age got the better of it. But the same low load rattling is happening again with the new replacement fan which was sold as compatible with my specific model of laptop and I have another fan on order through amazon. Attached are a few screenies showing throttlestop config. For stability I think I undervolted by 100 mW but I may have returned those settings to the default config after. I had hoped my issue was a smidge more common as that would have meant the availability of viable solutions to the issue would have been more common. Thank you for your time and effort.
