honestly i would use a desktop for gaming and have a basic laptop. gaming laptops costs ALOT and desktops last longer than laptops do. with 2000 you can have a beast of a desktop but with laptop not so beastly.

if your still looking for a good gaming laptop id look at the dell xps 1530 and 1330. only difference is the screen size 15' or 13'. they both start at $999 with room for improvement. if you click on best config it starts at $1299. and depending on the price of the laptop ull get a gift card. at 1299 you already get a 200dollar gift card from dell and lil more youll get the 250 gift card which is the most theyll offer. the laptop comes with a 256mb 8600m gt. although its not the best video card out there its still capable of playing all current games at decent quality. and with the extra money to spare you can upgrade to 4gb of ram and get a better processor. and when the gift card comes in you can buy w/e else too such as games like cod4 :D
