I have an old LCD out of a portable DVD player mounted in the front of my case. I'm running a Nvid 9600GT and using composite video for the LCD. I'm having a problem with the custom resolutions in the nvidia control panel, such that I cannot set a low enough resolution to make the screen useable. The native res is 540x300 according to a few sites, but I cannot get the nvidia driver to create any proper 16x9 res for the display.

Do any of you know some software I could get a hold of to fix this problem? I've tried power strip but it will not let me set timing for that display.

Can't you not create custom resolution for each monitor from NV control panel? That is how I setup my TV which did not have straight forward resolution configuration. But I don't remember now, I have to check it later.
