I've recently bought a new 6800LE card, and installed RivaTuner to OC the card, woohoo!

But my question is, how far can you push the OC tho? I've pushed the Core speed to 399Mhz, and the memory speed to 990Mhz, althought it hasn't got much hotter since then, but I'm worried about pushing it too far, and burning the card.

I'd like to hear the experiences that you guys about pushing the card to the limit, just before cooking the thing!

Cheers! :)

I don't have a 6800LE but anytime I have ever OCed a video card I only stop when I run into instability, I figure since I'm not over-volting it I shouldn't have to worry about heat. Plus I typically run an Arctic Cooling silencer which gives you a small boost in cooling power.

Everyone will tell you that a 10C will reduce a transistor's life by half, but if the life expectancy of your card is like 500 years at 20C then running it at 100 gives you what, 2 years? That's pretty old for a video card imho.
