Today, Logitech G and Tencent Games announced a partnership to bring a cloud gaming handheld to market later this year that will combine Logitech G's expertise in hardware with Tencent Games' expertise in software services. The new device will support multiple cloud gaming services, and both companies are working with the Xbox Cloud Gaming and NVIDIA GeForce NOW teams, so gamers can play AAA games when they are away from their console or PC.

Logitech G and Tencent Games share a mutual vision of the future of gaming and are committed to ensuring the quality of experience comes together seamlessly to deliver on the exciting promise of gaming from the cloud. Cloud gaming utilizes data center servers to stream video games to consumers. There's no need to download or install PC or console games. Instead, games are rendered and played on remote servers, and users interact with them locally on their devices.

"Logitech G's leadership in PC and console gaming gear make them an ideal partner to help us realize the vision of bringing a better gaming experience to gamers around the globe," said Daniel Wu, general manager of Tencent Games Smart Solution Innovation Lab. "Today marks the start of a new opportunity for our companies to further push the frontiers of gaming devices."

"As one of the leading global platforms for game development, publishing and operations, Tencent Games has been at the forefront of innovation and it's why we partnered with them," said Ujesh Desai, general manager of Logitech G. "As someone that grew up playing video games, the idea of being able to stream and play AAA games almost anywhere is super exciting, and we can't wait to show everyone what we've been working on."

Talk about a deal with the devil.

Kinda interesting but personally not seeing this succeeding. Maybe there's a huge market in China since Tencent wants to do this?

Huge market in China? With CCP banning gaming left and right?

If this means new gamepads they better not replace the ancient (but ultra reliable) F310/F710 the best cheap PC gamepads ever.

Logitech's quality has gone down over the years, charging more money for more plastic. Whatever "expertise" they can provide is how to cheapen the hardware and screw people from their warranties.

Tenecent is just a bad corporation overall, they have been slowly taking over the game industry from the inside and this is just another way for them to monoploze that. Once they have their own estabilished hardware, all those companies they've invested in will finally reap them rewards with exclusives, "only on Tencent/Logitech" hardware.

As I said elsewhere... Logitech was already relegated to my shitlist since G hub. Only further confirmations followed after...

I hope they leave them be, but they could change F710's grips' surface to something not going gooey after a few years :(

OK, one more thing not to be touched.

Are you ok? They ban gaming for minors not grown ups

Those kids grow up and CCP needs productive members of the society. It will be "under 25" next.
