Warranty departments have always run wild though. It's like they're instructed to care as little as possible about consumer law, completely ignore issue, however minor, that could potentially escalate - this dude with the 4090 that had the small indent on the 12VHPWR broken, it's really a minor problem, basically without that the cable won't lock in place, which *shouldn't* inutilize the graphics card, as long as the cable isn't being pulled or yanked while it's in operation, but let's suppose that due to that, his card catches fire, his house follows, whole neighborhood etc - let's take it to the extreme and let's say this single card, being denied warranty repair with the guy being overcharged to this extent - caused the next Great Fire of wherever they live, is anyone holding ASUS accountable? Of course not. Yet perhaps it's high time they (and every other corporation pulling things like this)
should.
