Looking for a new quality keyboard and keyboard protection

I don't care about price, as a good keyboard will last me forever, but I do care about quality, reliability, durability as well as maintenance.

My current keyboard is a razer arctosa, and it is terrible for 2 reasons: membrane keyboard and it's first class ability of being a magnet for dust, dead skin and all the iky stuff you can think of. I have to clean it every 3-4 weeks, and the buttons are just not the same, even after washing them, they still feel icky within a few days.

I don't have big hands, they never sweat outside physical activity, I don't eat at my computer, and I always wash my hands. So yeah I don't understand how this keyboard can be so nasty.

Also, I'd love a keyboard protection plastic or something that I can put over it, and easily wash it weekly with soap, and not have to dismantle my keyboard to keep it clean.

I know a bit about mechanical keyboards and black, blue, red etc cherry mx keys; I don't know which one I'd like but first and foremost the above points have to be met before I even dabble in details like these.

Thank you for the assistance.

you can go for the Corsair K68,
its "splashproof" thanks to the rubber gasket surrounding the keyswitch so you can just pour water over it, if the keyboard gets dusty

its matte plastic too, so any dust and grime wont stand out too much
