To monitor internet traffic. Specifically, the amount of data being received and sent, and any "holes" or lapses in that data.

Any suggestions??

bandwidth monitor is a good program. check it out on download.com (cnet) or google for it. Although some motherboard makers offer their own type of monitoring.

nmonitor free edition

or you can use microsofts network monitor 3.1 that's also free and trusted

I use a little app called bwmeter by desksoft.com, not free but I got it because it monitors internet and lan traffic separately and keeps the totals separate. I move a lot of data on my network and haven't found an app yet that logs both separately.
