Im looking to cool my 9400f a bit more, with air, but I need a short cooler to fit in this case. I have a Cooler Master GeminII S524 Version 2 that fits, but have lost the mounting hardware. I don't need anything fancy, just something better than the stock garbage intel heatsink. Suggestions on heatsinks would be much appreciated.

Wow, that's an incredibly unique case you got there
At a minimum cost and a great value even something like the 24$ Arctic Freezer 7 Pro will do just fine.
If you're looking for more serviceability in the future (the ability to easily change fan) than something like the 29$ CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Black Edition

Both are higher, but much smaller
If you're looking at something with a really small footprint, stuff like the Noctua NH-L9x65 could fit.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, it is a unique case, I was kind of not expecting anyone to know what it was these days. Its a Falcon Northwest case, painted in Lambo Diablo Yellow. The Hyper 212 is too tall. I was looking at a Arctic Freezer 13 Pro heatsink at newegg for 30 bucks. Thoughts?

If we were talking about the S340 listed in your sytstem specs ?

Clearance CPU Cooler: 161mm

Just about anything will fit ... best option Scythe Fuma outperforms just about any $90 air cooler or 240mm CLC for $46 ... in temps / noise. A Cryorig C7 will save ya $15 but leaves ya CPU 13C hotter and 23% louder. Granted you don't need much but if keeping for future build well worth the investment

Do you know who is the OEM or the CPU cooler clearance ?

No, this is for the CoolerMaster case pictured above. My s340 is h2o cooled. ;)

I'm pretty sure you should be safe with basically any 92mm tower cooler.

If you're just looking for better than stock, basically for noise, the Cooler Master Hyper T2 would work just fine.

Found some mounting hardware for my CM GeminII heatsink. On it went and now its much quieter and cooler under load. So are the VRMs and the memory. Thanks for the replies.
