im not going for overclock or something my budget is 200-300$ for the motherboard
cpu: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X
cooling: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II - 360
ram: G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO RGB Series (AMD Expo) 64GB (2 x 32GB)
nvme: Western Digital Black SN850X 1 TB
case: lancool 216
psu: ASUS ROG Thor 850
gpu: 7900xtx

the only motherboard i found with usb4 is the b650e taichi and it cost 370$ (seems little bit to much for me)
i will be glad to hear any recommendations

True USB4 motherboards don't exist yet. They all use Intel Thunderbolt 4 chip. Which is Gen3 bandwidth. That means 2 USB4 ports cannot be used at full bandwidth at the same time.

Its not true USB4 using a ASmedia chip. It has a Thunderbolt 4 one. They all do until ASmedia USB4 chips hit mass production. I mean, they could swap them out at a later date.... I have the B650E Taichi, haven't check the sample I have yet.

That B650E might be the cheapest with onboard "USB4". Add-on cards are $100-150. That might be a better option so your not limited MB selections.

Will be hard to find an AM5 MB with USB4 at that price point, if at all. You should consider gettiing an AIC for USB4/TB connectivity. Those retail at approx. 70-100 bucks.

At all it's a bit strange to pair the top tier AM5 CPU with a "budget" AM5 MB in terms of pricing. Another question is: Do you need USB 4 or just a specific bandwidth? If you can't answer that question you will most likely be fine with a MB that offers USB 3.2 gen 2x2.

Don't forget USB 4.2 is coming next year lol. USB4 80 Gbps from Intel as well.

@skan no. As explained previously all those MBs are using Thunderbolt chips for USB4. ASmedia USB4 is now out so some Z790 refresh MBs have those. Need to wait until another AMD refresh for "real" USB4. Just in time for USB4.2 and TB80 lol.
