Back in the mid 90s, my uncle gave me a magazine cover disc that had a few game demos, one of which was for Diablo. I have since lost the disc and have been unable to find the demo online. Just to be clear, this is NOT the shareware version you can find floating around the net, that's just a level-limited version of the full game. The demo I'm referring to came as a single executable (the icon was black with a red Celtic cross, I think), and was kinda a beta version of the game. The only characters there were in town were the blacksmith, tavernkeeper, pegleg boy and the witch, who all had different voices than in the full game. The church was still randomly generated, but if you tried to go down the stairs to the second level your character would say "That is forbidden in the demo". I want to make a comparison video showing the differences between it and the full game because it seems like nobody I know ever played it, just the shareware version.
