Looking For Single Player Games To Use With Controller

Racers:
Grid: Autosport (no nonsense racing with adjustable arcade/simulation options)
GRIP (Rollcage-like - amazing AMAZING)
Sonic All-Stars (Mario Kart for PC)
Road Redemption (because motorbikes and baseball bats never get old)
Shift 2 (Generic racer)
-not a fan of simulators on controller- F1 2016, Project CARS

RPG:
Darksiders (all of em)
DMC: Devil May Cry
Transformers Devastation(by Platinum Games)
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (game that never teaches you how to parry despite it being the most important mechanic in game)
Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain (you don't need a reason to play this)
Enslaved: Odyssey to the West (solid 7/10 game, kinda like tomb raider)
Diablo III (not sure if this can be played offline)
Trine 1+2 +maaayyyybe 3 (sidescrolling puzzler that is BEAUTIFUL)
Styx 1 + 2 (Goblin simulator. Hard as nails in goblin mode. Combat is terrible but you shouldn't be getting caught)
Victor Vran (average game, lotsa punch - if you like mindless power slamming enemies with big hits, otherwise D3 is better for depth)
Batman 1+2+3 (We'll pretend there aren't any more in the series)
Stories The Path of Destinies (repetitive but interesting)
Shiness the Lightning Kingdom (weird ass game but kinda fun to play, definitely a unique title)
Witcher 3 (OBVS)
Divinity: Original Sin (has controller support, might be hard as hell to play with)
Mass Effect 1+2+3 (TPS, semi-linear open world story driven, DLC queen)

Third Person Shooters:
Just Cause 3 (open world chaos, parachutes, grappling hooks)
Splinter Cell (mainly the old ones)
Hitman 2016 (serial killer simulator)
Mad Max (open world driving, shooting, exploding)

First Person Shooters:
Killing Floor 2 (zombie shooting with friends, has rpg-like progression)
Hard Reset (THERE ARE FOUR LIGHTS)
Wolfenstein (ALL OF THEMMMM)
Insurgency (scratches that weapon customisation itch)
SuperHOT (short game)
Metro 2033 (take me to POLLLIIIIS STAYSHUN - epic atmosphere and weapon design, semi linear, character driven)
Deus Ex Human Revolution et al (play how to you want, instanced open world)

Strategy/RTS:
Chaos Reborn (tabletop-like strategy, unique in every aspect, pretty colours)
Endless Legend (more customisation than you have room for)
Endless Space (it's endless legend in space)
Stellaris (this may take a while...)
-most RTS's are hard as balls on controller, many don't support it-

Indie/Misc/Other:
Firewatch (no combat - story orientated, short)
Defunct (speedrun puzzle game, very fast)
Rebel Galaxy (Freelancer crossed with pirate ship battles in space with initially wonderful soundtrack (gets old fast))
Ronin (indie ninja simulator with pause mechanics)
STRIDER (indie ninja simulator)
Life is Strange (highly linear, no combat, story orientated)
NOT A HERO (indie sidescrolling shooter, absolutely insane, surprisingly hard but also funny)
Mortal Combat (fighter with excessive gore and very little clothing)
Grow Home 1 + 2 (indie climb-em-up, cute and perfect for a relaxing sunday afternoon)
Crypt of the Necrodancer (indie dungeon crawler that is music beat based - can be played with a dancemat lol)

Worthy Mentions that are old:
Singularity (ace 7/10 shooter that did not get much attention)
Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning (Open World RPG - company went bust but it's an interesting title)
Super Meat Boy (roguelike)
AssCreed Black Flag (arguably the best in the series)
Prince of Persia (all of em)
Dark Messiah of Might & Magic (kicking people has never been so much fun)
Ace Combat: Assault Horizon (Arcade airplane shooter thing)

Games I hate that other people love:
FarCry series (its open world and has guns and upgrades and stuff. also slaughtering animals)
Dragon's Dogma et al (open world rpg that gets oh so very repetitive but it is MASSIVE)
Binding of Isaac (frustrate-em-up with deep background meaning)
AssCreed (Map Icon Cleanup, also assasinating and autoclimbing etc)
CODBLOPS et al (You shoot men you're told to while staring at a guy's ass crawling through bushes a lot)
Dark Souls (Roll, parry, roll, roll, get invaded and one-shot)
Bladestorm - Nightmare et al (weird mix of strategy and dynasty warriors with RPG elements)
Shadow Complex (sidescroller in Cryengine, like Crysis)
Sublevel Zero (indie version of descent, repetitive for me)

*Disclaimer - I may be missing good games from this list (Nier Automata) but I haven't played them so can't comment*
