I just had a look at newegg and the 5850s are dropping below the $300 mark. With some offering free shipping.

IMO once the $199 variants sell out the $250 variant may take over. Currently with prices as high as $260. It looks like AMD is using the 5850 to price war against the 460. Using 5850s between $260-$290 range

Indeed they are coming down in price. This maybe the start of clearing inventory for their next gen cards.

Whats sad is its still higher than the original MSRP, after 10 MONTHS of retail.

The Twin Frozr and this: Open Box: GIGABYTE GV-R585OC-1GD Radeon HD 5850 (C... are still mighty deal though.

It's not sad considering the 5850 hasn't had real competition until now.

The 5850 is worth every penny.
