Nice crisp fall Saturday morning.

Weather Channel said 28°F at the airport, usually a few degrees warmer here at the house.

I thought I would utilized that nice cool air.

Placed my radiator in an open window, my digital thermometer said 0°C.

Sig rig.

CPU @ 5300MHz, voltages on auto.

Ran LinX 0.9.5 to heat things up. Core max at 62°C.

Fired up AIDA64 Stress Test using FPU, which usually runs in the low 90°C at 5100MHz. Core Max @ 74°C.

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
I miss benchmarking like this... :)

No subambient cooling methods? Winter? Time to dress warm and open the windows! Hell I've even used some mix to prevent freezing doing this...

Place your radiator in a box with water and crushed ice and you get easy below ambient ;-)

Or use a chiller:

The cooling tower I made a few years ago can go sub-ambient and with these temps it's really effective, being it's an evaporative cooling tower setup outdoors.
Does a great job with about anything I've ran it with including such as my FX-9590, I even ran that in August doing a benchmark and the tower held temps within an acceptable range.

After this Winter I'll probrably do a rebuild of it to improve the design using what I learned from this one to make the next tower even better.

Here in FL after so long its a great weather light rain and cool.

Hot running laptops would be great to experiment with on a cool day outside.
