Low fps on AX800XT PE

Hi everybody, I have got an Asus X800XT Platinum Edition. It seems to work fine, I get around 5900 in 3dMark05. The problems are with games. With Counter Strike Source, I only get 80-90 fps in the stress test, no matter the resolution, filters... always the same result: around 80-90 fps. Playing at 1280x1024 without filters I get normally 40-60 fps (the same that with my old 9800pro).
In Battlefield 2 is even worst, playing with all setting at midle quality and 1024*748 I only get around 20-30 fps.
I have discarted problems with the graphics card (3dMark05 say that it´s ok...).
I have check vertical sinc settings and are all off. I have tried with differents version of Catalyst and Omega drivers and still the same.

My system:
Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe
AMD 2800XP Barton
1.5Gb RAM
Maxtor SATA 250
Asus X800XT PE

just one question.. what makes you think u should get more.. ??

in a high frame rate situation your barton would be the limiter..

First: Thanks a lots
I think I should get more for various reasons:
First- Is exactly the same rate that I got with my old 9800pro
Second- All benchmarks I have seen go over 120 fps in the stress test.
Third- I don´t wanna believe that I have change for nothing
The CPU maybe is a limitter but I think that no at that level (is a huge difference beetwen the benchmarks and mine and I have seen even benchmarks with a similar configuration going over 130 fps in the strees test).
I´m almost sure that the problem is only soft, but I have tried with a lot of differents drivers. May be is some thing with the directx (I remember I had problems when I installed Battlefield 2, some DLL missing...).

and if that 1.5gb was just 1gb in dual channel it will perform a litle better too

Yes I know but the POST say me that the momory work in DUAL Channel (yes I know that is not possible but...) and the memory benchmarks with Sandra are ok.

I agree with 'Trog100', that 'AMD 2800XP Barton' is probably choking the rest of your system

Have you tried removing all ATi/Omega etc drivers/software then doing a fresh install of the latest ATi 6.8 drivers with CCC and .net 2.0?

This is the only thing I have not tried, I have installed the Catalyst 6.8 without the CCC (I hate it ) but I will try this afternoon. I don´t know why but I think is a something with Directx...
