hello guys so i just upgraded to RTX 2060 SUPER.
but when i tried to play warzone i only got 50-60% usage of gpu
i tried the maximum power , oc cpu/on-off , oc gpu on/off , tried to max settings ingame and low settings too
pcie : from auto to 3 gen
i tried to use full power limit and force contrast voltage in msi after burner
i tried to ddu and clean install my nvidia drivers ,last time i uncheck all the boxes in the install
i tried it in CSGO too and same problem
only when i use 4k resolution it uses 90%
my cpu usage 60-80
cpu temp when oc to 4.4 around 75-85cْ
cpu temp when not oc 4.0 base clock around 60-70c

GPU : RTX 2070 SUPER
CPU :INTEL I7-4790K 4.0
RAM : 16GB/1600MHZ
SSD : kingston 240gb ssd sata 3
CPU COOLER : 212 HYPER EVO
please help me cause its frustrating.

Replace cpu. Bottleneck.
but look they get 98-99% usage with same cpu

Do you have vsync on or max framerate set in Nvidia control panel ? or some other framerate cap software running...

nah vsync ingame and in nvidia is off
i forgot to mention in warzone multi player i get 90% usage and around 130 fps ultra / 150-200 low settings
so there shouldnt be any vsync issues

What are you trying to get to? What monitor are you running? Warzone multi isn't that GPU heavy but we need to know your goals.

can you provide more data, like task manager CPU usage, or HWinfo

I had stuttering with 8Core/8Threads in 150 people small area battle, lower clocks than 4790 but real cores, so it was maxed out. only got max 100 frames.

vsync should be set to =fast, and latency to =Ultra for nice responsiveness.

i hope this what you're asking for

Maybe this user has his CPU set to 'all core' turbo in his bios so he's getting more speed. Go into your bios and look for a setting called 'multi core enhancement' and enable it - if not manually OC again but set the multiplier to OC all cores.

Also 85'c is hot for that CPU so it could be throttling some of the cores to keep within its safety parameters (Intel quotes the limit as 74'c)

Another thing with that CPU is that Intel used crap thermal paste between the die & the IHS so to get the best out of it and lower temps even further. Delidding is required. So even if you did get a better CPU cooler, you stilll might hit a thermal wall. Deliding might even drop temps as far as another 10-15'c with good paste & CPU cooler.

Either way Its gonna take a bit of work to get it to peak performance levels. Otherwise its time to buy a new PC. Get a Ryzen 3100X or 3300X

im really afraid of delidding my cpu :/
and its hard to get a new cpu now
cause new cpu = new mb = new rams
total means like 600-1000$
and i'll check the bios in 10m

At least try your luck with a better CPU cooler then. Keep the mounting accessories because you can always transfer a CPU cooler over to another pc if it's a good one.

i checked my bios i dont have the multi core enhancement option
and this is my settings now
usually when i oc the cpu i oc from xtu not from bios cause im not expert ..

Do 1.3v and 4.4ghz all core for turbo. What cooler are you running?

why are you running your ram at 1600 if your kit can do 2400 xmp ?

Have any of you considered that it's a simple netcode issue in Warzone?
Dealt with the same shit in QC, before I completely gave up due to "server consolidation" and following excessive packet loss. Visually you can't see it, cause in modern games they try to "smooth it out" by reusing old game state, which is exactly what causes increased frametimes.
Pretty sure 4790K is more than enough to run it smoothly.

8 Core/ 8 Threads constantly hitting 100% in battle royale game all the time

CPU 95-100%
GPU 60%
FPS 75-90

6 Core / 12 Threads

Warzone612.png

As you can see having Threads doesn't mean that the game engine can use them efficiently as it was in the case of Real Cores.

The real core can be used as high as 90%, but the thread sitting next to it in the task manager is lower 60% giving average of what you said 60-80.

if you take the usage shortly after alt tab it would be lower than in game.

Resolution 1080p Textures on High, Shadows on High, AA 1x

Overclocking can never help, you can only get 5% that way, you need 50% for 90% GPU usage and 120 FPS

tell me exactly what to change in bios so i can change them
cause usually i oc from xtu
cooler 212 hyper evo

the xmp profile only 1600mhz
and i dont know how to manually oc :(

so there is 0 chance to get good gpu usage with my cpu?
im so confused cause it shouldnt be cpu bottleneck cause my cpu never hit 100%
always around 60-70%

Ok you should be able to see 100 % load with 4 Core /8 Thread, it was not the case for 6 / 12,

4C/ 8T

if this doesnt cut it. You can move to 10/10 core Xeon QS at almost no cost.

It doesn't have to hit 100%. It's enough to momentarily hit 100% on one core.

Terrible advice, are you seriously recommending him a Xeon which isn't any newer architecturally and has even lower clocks ? A new platform with modern CPUs is the only way forward.

Im running on 2,8Ghz 8/8 the same results as 4,5Ghz 4/8, so the only option is to go brand new with solid warranty, 10400F / H410 or 3600 / A520. Should be enough. And even then the CPU usage may stay below 66% even with 3080Ti because the game engine can't make use of more than 8 threads it seems. But i recommend to wait for rocket lake 11 series and zen3 for 25% ipc boost. For me the xeon Hardwell 10/10 3.0 is perfect too, but risky.

Actually ican't make sense of this. 6/12 is worse than 8/8 it seems, so 10700F 3700x is the only option and is insanely expensive.

In your BIOS, change core voltage to 1.3v and turbo limit to 4.4ghz. You can download Intel XTU (Xtreme tuning utility) and change values there. I can post screenshots if you'd like for XTU.

For sure you can do 4.4 all core with a 212. My girlfriend is running 4.6 all core with the same cooler.
