It is unbelievable what you need for high settings...

holy crap-

That game will take some serious hardware!

Their PhysX card specifications are most likely way overblown. Batman AA basically states the same thing. Using two 5850's and a GT240 for PhysX, PhysX on its highest settings runs flawlessly. Can't wait for this game. :)

I wonder how much nvidia is paying them to keep promoting physx.
This is just dirty... This game says: please buy nvidia card for me....

I hope we dont lose effects, so we have to buy a nv card so we can see some of the effects.

It better not as they can shove that crap were UBI can shove there BS.

It's been like that for a while, and I don't expect it to change anytime soon. They're money is the only incentive keeping developers making games based/tested on nvidia hardware. As soon as I saw PhysX in the requirements, it was like....umm ok.

But really, I hope this game will be just as good with an ATI card as I have been waiting for this game for a real long time.

Definitely will lose some of the effects without a Nvidia card. Yeah, it's BS but what you gonna do...

Processor: 2.4 GHz Quad Core processor <-- lol even GTAIV said that but my Core 2 Duo E8400 still ran the game well even after i got a HD5770 it ran GTAIV Episodes From Liberty City awesome

Losing effects i don't mind i expect that but if my pc could do the effects without a nv card but they decide to cut them just to add them for nv users they can shove the game up there asses and thats what they can do.

Not hard to wait till it's $20 not when steam or D2D has it's sales lol. If they wonna give me less because there sucking nv's "COUGH" they can get payed less. But hey they might not do that yet :).

Other wise i hope the people don't dodge your car like they did in the 1st one still although one of the vids show that crazy reflex that the AI have.

all i care for is that i can turn off that stupid "PHSYX/APEX ENHANCEMENT"

Gameplay vid? I haven't seen anything on the game since the trailer like a year ago..

I'm pumped.

Like Dirt2 this game won't allow single core cpu's, so we are moving in right direction.
It is not so bad at this point, but physX really s****, it is like rasism!

Most game these days will run like shit on a single core, they were phased out a while back. Even most of your workstation/office computers have at the least a Dual Core running.

Not buy it: you a clearly willing and able to use workarounds to get PhysX working with your other cards. I had enough problems with crossfire without throwing an Nvidia card into the equation. Is it really as simple as using beta or obsolete drivers and has it proved problematic?

i bet even with a dedicated for for physx / apex, it's going to halve the framerate anyway.

such useless tech.

Aww cmon already. Stop with the NV hate. LEARN TO LIVE WITH IT INSTEAD OF COMPlAINING ALL ThE TIME. It was YOUR choice to buy ATI so you knew that you would lack stuff like physx and cuda. And its stupid to not buy a game just because it uses physx while you actually waited, and waited for the game. And i see it has become an awesome game. Even without the neat extras of nvidia. I wont buy it because i still need to buy TDU2 and crysis 2 :P

Your complaining (not just you but in general) will not help
Anyone. It will be like this for a long time accept it. And if you wont buy any games with physx goahead, dont. But youll be missing some good titles that are great without physx.

Definitely thinking I should get an Nvidia card now...

The requirements dont look so bad except Physx requirements. Wondering whether to get a GT240 like erocker. Or maybe a GTS 250.

Either card is fine. I went with the GT240 because it's short and there's no external power connection needed. I have to sandwich it between two 5850's so I wanted as little of a footprint as possible. :)

Not complaining, simply stating the course of action I will take: I won't buy, that is also my choice ;)

You have three video cards? How does that work

Did I mention I was jealous of your computer?

Thought: I'm thinking of upgrading my GPU, is this worth getting an Nvidia card for? :P

Of course I'll take a look at how Nv compares to the 5 series HD cards, but I was a massive, massive fan of Mafia I and I'm definitely going to be getting this game hah!
