I'm about to run some benchmarks to test for stability for my cpu in cinebench and occt

What temps do I NOT want to see at all? Not even for a few seconds?

What max temps are okay to see after 30min-1hr run of cinebench r23?

I say all this knowing that benchmarks like those don't represent the temps the cpu is ever likely to encounter again... BUT despite my desire to overclock I want to be 100% certain that I won't damage the cpu.

What is your opinion on the matter?

Max temp is 105C - that being said anything in the mid 95C is usually fine. Past 95C tone back the OC or get better cooling.

Cinebench R23 isn't a real stress test and your chip will run hotter during shader compilation in games even -- get something like OCCT or ycruncher that will give you a true max.

I actually hit 118C on AVX512 ycruncher for 5 seconds after not realizing that setting multi in bios turns off board safety limits o_O

Yep done that too lol. When you disable temp safety and forget the next day.

Assuming you're talking about daily driver type of overclock there isn't enough clock speed headroom to get into dangerous territory if you have decent cooling. ARL just doesn't clock up particularly well so I'd expect 5.5-5.8Ghz range for most P-cores which should be possible without dumping tons of voltage in.

I'm using core temp tool to have overheat protection. Automatically shuts down the pc if I hit 100c

Buy why would you want that? The CPU will throttle itself back and nothing is going to happen, you don't need core temp shutting down your PC, lol. Unless you tinker with the default temperature limits there is nothing to worry about, the cpu will regulate itself just fine
