I just bought some new Crucial Ballistix Ram, the RAM in my pc is this excact type, only difference is
the clock speed (a bit higher) and it doesnt specifiy it supports XMP.

One of the sticks makes the pc reboot. Have tried different slots. Could it be that the combination of RAM with and without XMP results in rebooting?

already tried switching the ram to different slots.
all overclocks disabled

Will do when im home this afternoon:
Will try another wall outlet
and I need to check if the ram only works or not.

Its a set of 2:

Put slowest ram in slots 0/2 or 1/3 depending how your mobo names them, go in bios and manualy set the speed of the slow ram then save and exit.

Once done try adding the faster ram and it should auto run at the slower speed, this is how i got mixed ram to work on my pc.

You might also need to set the timings aswell.

Really you don't want to mix match Ram as it tends to just create problems.

you could try this

Take the slower ram and just use that for the time being, now enter the bios. Go to the memory timings part in the bios and record all the values including the sub timings if the board displays it.. wright them all down.

Now place the other ram in and now enter the ram timings that you wrote down and see how that goes.

or you can always use AIDA64 and pull the timings of off it like this....

Good luck
