Memory stick not found on Vendor's QVL, What do I do ?

Hi
Recently bought a new Desktop PC.

It's a new AMD Ryzen 5900X on an Asus Tuf Gaming X590-Plus.

I've bought a single HyperX hx432c16fb3/32 - a 32GB Stick with the intention of upgrading to 64GB when I can get some more $$.

After installing the Memory Stick, Screen is blank and the motherboard's Q-Leds show a problem with Dram, in whichever slot I insert.

Looking at Asus's website, the Memory QVL does not show my stick.
I'm unsure whether it is a faulty stick or the Mobo doesn't actually support it...

Is the memory QVL of Asus all comprehensive? Meaning that if my stick is not on the list it won't work?
Usually, it's easily solved with another Stick. Unfortunately, I don't have any other DDR4 available...

Thx

No. I never even look at the QVL. That is what JDEC is for, the memory should always at least boot at the standard JDEC speeds, and in fact most boards default to that anyway.

It might not be the RAM either. The X590-Plus only supports the 5900X with BIOS version 2607 and higher. Make sure your motherboard has at least that version, otherwise it probably won't boot with the 5900X installed.

I thought about that but the qleds on the motherboard showed a dram issue, not a cpu issue.
Thats why I figured the bios was ok with the cpu.

And in this case as well - if i dont have a second am4 supported cpu to boot the machine - how could i check/upgrade the bios?
(Note: couldn't find a manufacturing date on the mobo that may point to the bios version)

An incompatible GPu can cause a DRAM error code, because the memory controller is on the CPU. If it can't talk properly to the memory controller, it will give a DRAM error.

The BIOS version might be listed on the box. It might also be listed on the BIOS chip itself on the motherboard.

If you don't have a CPU to update the BIOS ASUS offers and update service, but I think you need to send the board into ASUS for them to do it.

Don’t send your board anywhere just yet...
Does your board has a BIOS Flashback button? If it does you can update it without even installing a CPU. Check board’s manual for the detailed and specific procedure.

And you ment ASUS X570 Tuf plus?
I don’t think that X590 exists as AM4 chipset

It does make more sense its a cpu issue rather than memory.
Problem is Asus's CS in my country is horrible, and i dont want to wait so long for a simple thing..

I went through the box and board itself and didnt find the bios version, but maybe i just missed it...

Yes its tuf plus, unfortunately it seems it doesnt have a flashback function.. only the pro ones do.
I'll go to the reseller today and try to get him to update it for me...
P.s - this reddit post has my issue. Does seem like a bios problem. HTH anyone.

Update:

My reseller agreed to upgrade the Mobo's Bios.

After the upgrade, the system boots and the memory is fully detected :)

Thanks for the help! I would have gone in the wrong route of replacing to a QVL memory..
