I am purchasing a new motherboard because my Other one Crapped out, instead of waiting for an rma i am just going to buy a new one and sell the rma, i have 8 3600 gskill royal 32 gbs of memory and I am sort of looking at the ASUS ROG ZENITH II EXTREME ALPHA TRX40 as my next board would it support the memory? Just wondering,

If the sticks weren't sold in sets of 8, then they might not be on the QVL. Doesn't mean it won't work though.

The board support 256 GB and 8 sticks. You will have to tell us if it work with yours, just beacuse they are not on the QVL doesn‘t mean they woulndn’t.

A lot of boards will run with non-QVL sticks as a lot of those are the same PCB design and ICs as QVL ones, it is not guaranteed however. You might find it difficult if your sticks are dual rank as you would be running 4 ranks per channel.

That said I don't think you will fare better with any of the other boards on that platform... They are known to have... less polished BIOSes.

Go download the manual from asus website along with the memory qvl and read them.

I disagree, Asus has 1 of the Best Bios teams.

MSI and Gigabyte tend to be the worst.

Yet rev E OCing is broken on every single Asus intel DDR4 board

Asus is good but far from infallible.

The whole reason TRX40 memory tends to be subpar is because it's such a tiny sales volume they can't dedicate a huge amount of time to (this goes for the AMD provided AGESAs too) and that TR in general is a pain in the backside to fiddle with.
