MEMORY_MANAGEMENT BSoD with GPU-Z 0.7.2 + AMD A10-4600M with Dual Graphics (7600M)

On Windows 8, trying to start GPU-Z 0.7.2 results in a BSoD with the reason MEMORY_MANAGEMENT.

However, starting GPU-Z 0.6.9 doesn't result in such a BSoD or any issue.

Hmm, so standalone GPU-Z 0.6.9 actually also causes a BSoD.

When I found 0.6.9 to work, I was running it from Geek3D's FurMark application. They recently updated the GPU-Z to 0.7.2, and I can confirm it also works fine, when ran from FurMark.

So it seems standalone versions of GPU-Z don't work, but running it from FurMark does. Why is this?
