Microsoft Xbox Wireless Controller (Series X|S)

Yes, the Steam Controller that no one can buy, the PS4 controller that I have already reviewed before, and the new DualSense with a couple of games on PC actually making the most of it. Filthy casual it is :D

I was making fun of the comment, of course I didn't take it seriously haha. Let me watch the videos soon and see :)

As a controller for PC gaming, all u want of it is compatible and ease use, because it's basically a back-up for your keyboard and mouse.

i loved the old xbox 360 controller, but i had constant battery issues (thought it was loose battery door...but tired different ones, tried rechargable ones...3 different controllers, they would blimp power when i or the kids were playing a game)

fast forward now, i've tried cheaper bluetooth controllers, while they work great with android, not so seamless on the computer...

now i have 2 xbox one s controllers and connect via bluetooth. these guys have been working great for about a year now, no issues at all. kids play two player games all the time with them. i wouldn't think anything at all about buying some more now, but 360 is a bit long in the tooth and left a bad taste in my mouth

Yeah the build quality for the Xbox One controllers was not amazing. My Scorpio controller's casing started squeaking very quickly. And all three XBO controllers that I had developed trigger squeaking as well.

The X360 controllers were awesome and extremely durable. I used them for over a thousand hours before I experienced strong stick drift. No other problems, though.

The Series X/S controller has been perfect for me so far. Amazing comfort, and no issues with build quality whatsoever. But I did have to upgrade the firmware with the app to get the Xbox headset working properly.

Yeah I never had the Xbox One controller by itself, but everything else is spot on. The SCUF controller based on the Xbox One was obviously highly modified.

Just purchased the Razer Wolverine V2 a minute ago for AU$92:)

@VSG
Thank you for another in-depth review on the latest Xbox controller. Was really considering the Elite Series 2, but now I have second thoughts once I read this review. I wonder when Microsoft will release an updated Elite series. Does anyone recall when the first Elite controller was released post Xbox one launch?

Microsoft stuck in the past with their controllers. They are so outdated. At the same time I was impressed with the Switch Pro Controller until I've played with the DualSense... oh my god. I thought their haptic feedback is similar to the Nintendo's HD Rumble, but no... Sony's implementation is like something else.

Heck why are all of the companies forcing buyers to use their (sometimes very trashy) apps?
Also in which world can microsoft justify that price?

Just received my Razer Wolverine, has to say the build quality is on part with the Xbox Elite, but ergonomically the Elite is better, it fits my hand nicely as I had a chance to play with it the shop, the Wolverine analog sticks are more tactile and weighty, though. Very satisfied with the purchase, since I got it at only A$92.
