I am confused on the difference of these....From what I understand the CPU diode take tempature readings directly from the center of the CPU but not all mobos can utilize this information correctly, and I'm not sure how motherboard CPU tempature works. Motherboard CPU tempature is 38C idle, and Diode is 28C idle. 38C seems pretty high.

If I am completely off, and/or thier measuring 2 different parts of the computer, please correct me. But if they are reading the CPU, which one should I go by?

Also, using systool to read all the tempatures.

I don't know but even 38c is good. Most people get 40-ish idle and 60-ish load.

from now on you can use coretemp to read your cpu temps.its supossed to be the most accurate.

So are my assumptions correct...? I should go by the CPU diode reading? It seems to update much more quickly than the latter.
