So my beloved P4P800 died a violent death after some overclocking... A terrible tragedy... Anyway, I was hoping you guys can help me to decide what to buy instead.
My old rig was p4 3ghz 1mb (Prescott, and nice one I might add ^_^ ), P4P800 (deluxe), 512Mb DDR 333 (why are you looking at me? I was tight on money that day, and lazy to buy more the other day) and GeForce FX5700 Ultra 128Mb. I have to say I was quite happy with my system, except for some lags after long work, it was fine.
After studying some reviews, prices (I remember days when 4Mb RAM costed 200+$ ) I decided to buy this one: AMD Phenom x4 9350e, ASUS M3N78-EM (8300), 2x1GB DDR2 1066Mhz. I stopped on AMD/Nvidia because I like AMD more than Intel and I very liked the idea of HybridPower. I'm going to buy GTX 260+ or some G350 (is it?) in 3-4 (6-7 ) months.
And here's the question for you - is my future AMD rig gonna be faster in old games (like UT2004, Dawn of War and etc.) than my previous? I suppose it will be faster in ordinary work/video watching and etc. but the games?..
Thanks in adnvance, and sorry for terrible english.
