Monster Hunter: World brings the epic fight against huge enemies to the PC platform. The port is well done and runs well, especially on AMD graphics cards. Our performance review looks at this in detail, using 15 graphics cards. We also investigate VRAM usage and CPU-core scaling.

The cards seem to fall in line with where you'd expect them to be, though the performance difference between the rx480 and the rx580 is kind of surprising...

I'm confused. I'm using a Titan V, which is more powerful that a TI, but not in a different class...
I'm able to stay around 4k 60 (well... i will time to time drop in the mid-high 50s.) I'm the highest preset. which, i think has the volumetric stuff on...)
That said, when i playing i do shut off the volumetric as i don't like the look.
*shrug* maybe the V is that much more powerful... I would not have thought a V would be faster than a TI with volumetric off vs a V with it on.

below is some video i captured yesterday. It has the grafix settings and some afterburner OSD on the top left. (driver used: 398.82)

There's 16% difference between rx480 and rx580 at 1080p and 18% (!) at 1440p. There's some funny business going on here, almost 20% between the old and refreshed card seeems huge.

It all depends on what models were used. There are huge clock discrepancies between certain models on both core and memory between the 480 and 580; some there’s a 200mhz difference in core and even larger gap in memory clocks (800mhz+).

So much fuss about performance yet it seems to run pretty good even on mid-range hardware.

Any word on CFX/SLI prefromance?

rx480 must've been throttling reference and 580 was aib, it's still a lot. it was 10% at launch, and given how rx580 has no reference model, it should be similar.

Comparable AMDs beating the NV ones (RX580-GTX 1060, Vega56-GTX1070) by about 10%. Nice one.

The mouse input issue isn't too bad when the frame rate is at or above 60 fps. But, try turning the graphics settings up so you are only getting 30-40 FPS and the input lag becomes colossal. It is even visible on the main menu screen with the mouse pointer.

So I tested this some more, looks like this is an issue with high-sensitivity only .. I turned up DPI on my mouse and it became noticeable, now that I know what to look for, I can slightly notice it on my default settings, too, but it's not a big issue for me (at that setting)

AMD driver team has done good job for a new game. Maybe the fact that this is a port from consoles that use their hw helps them somehow.

so hyper threading actually help in this game? should i get a cheap 3770K over my 3570K? My GTX 1070 is not getting taxed enough because my CPU is almost always full load and i dont want to fully upgrade till the Ryzen 3rd gen or maybe the 9th gen intel arrives

So my 3930k is not compatible with the game? (Sandy Bridge is pre-Haswell so no FMA3).
They patched it upon release, my 3570k works and some sandy bridge cpus works as well

If money allows, a nice AM4 motherboard with an R5 1600 will have you ready for whatever comes out up to 2020. For now you will be able to play anything without any cpu limitations. And you will just sell this cpu to get the next one you will want later on.

seems a GTX970 still isn't enough for 60fps... at the highest settings.

so, i5 3570 stock, can still playing this game..... ???

Using 3570K@ 4.2Ghz, 16GB 1866 ram and isntalled on SSD, the game runs at 50-60fps (using fps lock) on my end in the hub area at high settings, in the open area world, it can dip to around 40+fps on severe situations along with stutters, at this FPS the CPU is at max utilization and GPU usage drops signficantly
Someone on Youtube posted a 3570 non K performance paired with a GTX 1060 6GB and is experiencing similar results

I was thinking about this as well but not sure yet

I did not see a download link for this Benching app on TPU or with in the article. So here >>> http://mho.qq.com/cp/a20141201benchmark/en/index.htm *

*"Monster Hunter Online, NVIDIA and Crytek have joined hands and accomplished this stunning benchmark program. The program is based on client game Monster Hunter Online, and was produced with world's leading game engine CRYENGINE.A series of advanced technology including Real Time Rendering, Physical Based Shading, Realistic Vegetation Rendering, NVIDIA PhysX Clothing, NVIDIA Hairworks and NVIDIA HBAO+ helped creating such magnificent and realistic hunting environment. After downloading and installation, you can experience Super Definition graphics and immersive hunting experience Monster Hunter Online means to offer."

I have downloaded it and tested the file for virus and maleware via Malewarebytes and it is clean....Good luck and happy benching
Thats not monster hunter world, thats an old monster hunter online game released in china only i think, and i believe bench results were posted back then in the benchmark threads

Thank you...i deleted my post in the thread. Dang facepalm

100% CPU usage, I think

GTA V
the witcher 3
deus ex 2016 dx12
hitman 2016 dx12
tomb raider 2016 dx12
project cars 2
watch dogs 2
mafia III
Ass Creed Unity
FF XV demo

.... all those game with my cpu usage = 100% (almost all the time).....

so this game its safe for my cpu too... ??
