Moore Threads latest driver update, 230.40.0.1, is a noteworthy advancement, bringing many improvements and new features, most significantly introducing OpenGL 3.3 support. This inclusion is crucial, as this API was previously incompatible with MTT S70 and S80 GPUs, highlighting MTT's commitment to broadening user experience across various platforms and games. Moreover, the update offers substantial performance enhancements, with notable increases in frame rates in popular games. Valorant supposedly gets a 40% FPS improvement at 1080p, while Project CARS brings a 10% increase. Game engines such as CryEngine v5.7 also receive a 40% performance uplift. However, the release of only percentage improvements without specific framerate values calls for measured optimism, as the tangible impact on playability is yet to be assessed.

Equally important in this update is the emphasis on stability, with many popular titles seeing enhancements for a smoother and more reliable gaming experience. This focus underscores MTT's dedication to maintaining a robust and stable gaming environment on the Windows 10 operating system. Integrating 20 fixes and ongoing resolutions to existing issues mark this update as crucial for users aiming for a refined and seamless experience in graphics-intensive applications and games. The amalgamation of enhanced compatibility, heightened performance, and bolstered stability in this update is pivotal for users looking to maximize graphic and gaming capabilities.

Well, an OpenGL 3.3 driver (if it works well), would roughly bring it on par to the G80 (GeForce 8800) here. And that 17 year old GPU probably has a more robust driver as is. It's nice to see a fourth player, very slowly but surely making a mark, even if I don't think they'll be serious competition any time soon.

It's great that they're working on performance too... all I can say is, keep it up

Does anyone know where one can buy shares in Moore Threads Technology Co. Ltd?

There's nothing about idle power... Since this card in Idle (Windows Desktop) Consumes roughly 120W.

The performance is half of a RX480 if i'm correct at simular power levels. Not a great contender at all - but it's a start.

Well, at least reverse engineering is still a growth industry out there..not much else is. Not for nothing but if the China debt bubble collapses, I doubt we'll see anything impressive from Moore or anyone else in China for that matter.

Wow! o_O I'm gonna install it right away for my... wait, what? :wtf:

It's good to see them improving, but they have a long way to go. Does anyone have any idea of which PowerVR core they are using for this GPU? Apple's GPUs are based off PowerVR too and they do much better so Moore Threads' poor showing is certainly due to poor drivers.

Reverse engineering? This involved no reverse engineering - it's a just PowerVR-silicon stamped with Moore Threads' logo.

So this is how a reversed engineering PowerVR GPU looks like? hmmm....got it.

But that shroud!! Cooler looks decent too..................

Likely off the shelf - but it's bizarre it needs 120W for just idle use. That's insane.
But it doesn't need much more than that in full load, either. There must be something wrong with its V/F curve, if there's any.

more power to them tbh, keep it up Moore Threads!
