Hello i am starting to build some Mining PCs / Rigs but i have the problem if i have more then 3 graphicscards on one Mainboard i get an EFI error directly after i start the PC.

i tryed this 2 motherboards:

MSI Z170-A Pro (MS-9771) old an new bios
ASROCK H170 Pro4S old and new bios

i have 6 Graphicscards from XFX RX 480 Core Edition 8 GB (RX-480M8BFA6)

i installed 2 directly on the Mainboard and the next with a PCIE Raiser 1x -> 16x (i already tryed 2 models)

https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01HHLQRBK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

with 3 cards no problems, after i connect the 4. cards the Error is shown directly when i start the PC. It is not possible to enter the BIOS of both boards.

i tryed to contact XFX they mean the problem can not be the graphicscards. i asked for a newer bios but the card is reference design of AMD so i should contact AMD... they have no newer BIOS.

has anyone a problem like this fixed, or any idea what i can try?

thanks

https://www.google.com read your motherboard manuals too. Sounds like you ran out of pcie bandwidth and need a x99 or naples platform

Coin mining with home computer is dead at this point anyway.

I am not even sure whether you'd break even with ASIC.

Think w1zz has a Cryptoming Account that he Accepts donations To :) he calls it
hooker and weed Fund :)
There are a few Members who may still mine or are ex miners they may chip in with help
But as eidairaman1 Speculates
Sounds like you ran out of pcie bandwidth and need a x99 or naples platform

Sorry if you think that GPU Mining is dead you are wrong *rofl*

Check whattomine.com so if you do not pay much for your power, i will do 9€ per day with 5 cards, Thats 3285€ per year.

I fixed my Problem, if anyone has the Same Problem he can contact me directly.

Well good for you then. I'd take your topic where it belongs as it's not done here.

sounds like something related to PSU? Like it's not powering the HDD properly

and your point is ???
People often find the solution to their problem and they inform the Thread what they found to sort out the problem
people that keep that info and not share FOR THE BENEFIT OF OTHERS don't in future really deserve to be further helped
ps you need to spell a little better (nodoby :roll:)
