Most Disappointing Game (2015)

Aisha Tyler, Mr. Caffeine, Patrice, treatment of Assassins Creed series, turducken open world games, Uplay, target renders, etc. so many reasons to hate this company. EA are saints compared to Ubisoft..... just BURN IT ALL DOWN :p

Star Wars Battlefront.
Needs more offline, I can't stand all the online junk these days.
More maps, weapons, etc.

Not too sure what my personal worst was. I will have to nominate Arkham Knight on PC, because that seems to be an awful port.

Only part I'd spare is Ubisoft Romania for the Silent Hunter series... though Ubisoft corporate has forced them to make garbage too (Silent Hunter 5 for example).

SilentHunter 5, gotta be kidding talk about bug mania. As much as i love that game and the hours i have put in to it i still not been able to finish one or more things and will be a game that will never be finished to me, on top of that coop sucked.. Now tats some thing i do hate UBI and that's not fixing their game's not because it was changed slightly graphically before actually release. Lets face it they don't know how their game will run until they have all the content they want to add and just showing you whats possible at that time.

And to be honest now even if i could of got all the 2015 games i wanted i would not of got them, waste of money may as well wait these days until a goty ed is out. as you know you be able pick it up patched up better than release and on top of that with all the added content for less.

Like BS EA's pulling now with DAI you can buy the complete game for $30 with all addons but if you have the game the the dlcs will set you back way more than $30.

I still think EA is worse than Ubisoft. FFS, you can't even buy most PC EA games at any store except through Origin. Ubisoft at least still puts their titles on other markets although they seem to be pulling back from that (e.g. not following Steam sales dates).

The only game that comes to my mind as disappointing right now is The Witcher Adventure game. I expected more. Once you play as each character (like 4 hours of gamplay), you realize how shallow the game is. I guess that's true of all board-inspired-games though. The price matches the content, so, meh.

For me BLOPS3, glad I'm not the one who paid for it, other than after Ghost I swore I wouldn't buy another COD. Did get JC3 and love it, but it is nothing compared to JC2. Also The newest expansion to SWTOR is pretty disappointing glad I'm no longer a paying member too. Also FC4 I have yet to snag for PC just cause it was so much like FC3 which was a great game. I'd still get FC4 if I could swap my PS4 copy for a PC copy since I sold my ps4 at the beginning of the year and I don't miss consoles other than playing Destiny (well playing it in short spurts since it needs more story)

See the thing about FC4 is that it gets better. Yes, it's reminiscent of FC3, and starting out, it somewhat drags; that's how I felt and it took a while to get into it, months actually just to get in a few hours.

But once it picks up, it turns out to be a much better game than FC3 imo. It looks great, it's a nice big open world, it has some very different areas like the Shangri la (sp), and it actually builds upon some moral and social ideas... I don't play a lot of super deep games, but FC4 really made me feel torn inside with how the story develops and what happens, and that's a good thing.

I agree, i have actually pre-ordered The Division but after playing Seige and after i saw that that Ubisoft "Season passes" only last a year(WTF) i have canceled my pre-order, but for some reason the game is still in my library and i have a bad feeling i am getting charged 90euros on its release date...

@Jack1n what do you mean season passes only last a year? Surely you don't mean DLC stops working after a year, because none of mine has stopped.

Are you meaning you can't buy after a year, or they only sell a season pass all together for a year?

Its a new thing, only saw it with The Division and Seige.

Yes, but what does that mean, only last a year? It's an ambiguous statement that could actually help alot of people out if you could elaborate.

Read under what the gold edition includes, thats all i really know myself.

Edit: It pretty much means if stuff gets released for the game after one year you still have to pay for it even if you bought the season pass.

Tough one for me, as most all the games were disappointing in some way this year.

Project CARS didn't live up to my expectations for some reason. It could be because I don't have a wheel anymore, but I'm not sure. Can't put my finger on it, because it's beautiful.
When I played the beta for Battlefront I was immediately let down once the info started being processed in my head that it screamed EA.
Fallout 4 for obvious reasons. I didn't like 3 or NV because of the shooting mechanics and I don't like VATS. They improved greatly in this area, but the story to me lacked, interacting with NPCs sucked, and just other major flaws. It seemed to me like they concentrated more on the building system but even it has a lot of flaws IMO.
Although not a release for this year, but the announcement of FF7 Remake gave me a huge chub only to be heavily let down after hearing what they are doing with it.
Another "not technically released in 2015", but Descent Underground seems to be taking a direction I'm not fond of.

The only game I've seriously enjoyed from the start was Rocket League. Played 3 hours just today. I still suck, but still have great fun in it.

I don't do disappointing games :p

Edit: Project Cars sucked with xbox360 controller, got a refund for the game on steam.

I used to really enjoy those games. people used to think I was crazy for playing them (Manual TDC FTW)

I would probably miss Trackmania too and maybe Rayman.

edit: i'm sure nobody knows what i'm talking about :p

so satisfying!

PC2 will have dx11/12 support hang in there ,and yes it runs better with a wheel.:) PC only has DX 9 and was in development for 4 years ,Spent 2 of them testing it .

Project CARS, which stands for Community Assisted Racing Simulator, is a low budget game, being made for a total sum of $5 million.[9] Funding for the game was raised by the community and the developers themselves, without the financial aid of a traditional publisher. Through the purchase of Tool Packs players could contribute to development in roles including content creation, QA, and marketing media.[10] Members gain special perks, depending on their purchased tool pack. Members will receive a share of game sales profits generated within the first three years after launch as compensation for their efforts, to be paid quarterly.[11] <<< yes i am one of these guys :) How i paid for GTAV
Sequel
A sequel, Project CARS 2, was announced on 22 June 2015. Slightly Mad Studios will also launch a crowdfunding campaign of the game, similar to the original Project CARS. The sequel will include more tracks and modes, such as Rallycross and hill climbs.[57]<<<<< will be on this too

As for games for me ,GTAV has a lot to do ,but when you have no time to play it all day it gets boring. As for the haxers online yep i agree i do the closed crew session all the time,Maybe with Liberty City as DLC for single player it might get my interest up more.

I have 3 and 5. I never got into it. Flight sims I enjoy, but anything with multi crew becomes a pain for me. I'd like to give a more modern tank sim a try if one came along.

99% sure PCars is DX11 mate. I'm not disappointed in the least with the graphics, I just didn't have as much fun with it as I thought I would. Probably because it got delayed a few times and I lost interest before it came out.

Can we mention games that weren't released in 2015?

Can we mention games that weren't released in 2015?
This! Because my steam library is like "you bought exactly 0 2015 games in 2015, this coincides with 2014 and all years earlier." I pay full price for NOTHING and sales must be significant; which is the problem. if there is a significant sale in the 1st year of release the game is guaranteed to 100% suck.

So if we can count games we simply bought in 2015 I would actually have a hard time finding a loser. I guess I would have to go with the Dragonborn dlc for skyrim because it should be far more polished and far less glitchy this far out from release.

nope just business 101.

nope just business 101.

Nope. Opinion. Just because a game has a sale in the first year doesn't mean it sucks. And "sucks" is an OPINION, not Business 101.

I'll handle the sound business decisions assessments, since that's my experience.
