Hey, I'll keep it short. So I've been forced to use my Viper Ultimate in wired mode for a while now because the battery doesn't want to charge unless I slam it against the table. Ontop of that, the front side buttons on both sides don't work, while the back side buttons register. I don't believe the buttons are broken because they make a distinct clicking sound and my usage rarely used the right buttons on the mouse, yet it was broken. Any advice on fixing it? Or should I start looking around for a new mouse, like a Lamzu etc.

Are you up to opening up the mouse, checking the connectors or resoldering new switches?

Sure, its just opening it I'm not sure about since I cant figure out how it opens.

You'll probably just want to replace it.
strike that.
Didn't realize this was a $100-200 mouse. Last Razer mouse I owned was a long time ago and wasn't more than $39, new.

Whether it was from exceptional use or not, it sounds like it has cold solder joints.
The battery, might be a loose cable, but the microswitches are usually soldered to the mouse.

Both of my oldskool MX518s still 'clicked', but didn't register the action. One, the left click died, the other the right click.
If the mouse uses a separate PCB connected via cable, it might just be loose. If the microswitches are soldered-on, they're probably bad.

BTW,
Typically, the screws are under the mouse glides, and you'll need to replace them afterwards.

Edit:

Looks like it does use separate PCBs. Might just be loose cables and/or dirty contacts.

If it was a $30 mouse, I wouldn't bother, but these are spendy o_O

Alright I'll just get a new one, any recommendations other than Lamzu's?

I bought it in 2022, so it was cheap as hell
like a quarter of the price since it was on clearance.
plus lamzu's are like 100 in my area (aud btw) and are a lot more friendly on my pc spyware

There's probably some reason I'm not aware of to recc. against but, I've been adoring my Attack Shark R3 Magnesium mouse.

Mind you, I've only had it since Feb this yr, and have been using it the last month wired, w/ a ~$20 Dreamcables cable.
