I've had this issue where a single click often triggers a double click with a new wireless logitech mouse, the fix / solution was this
That's it, once I did that it stopped randomly double clicking. Seems to be a common issue with windows 10.
- Go into Device Manager
- Expand Mice and other pointing devices
- Right click the faulty device and uninstall
- Confirm that your mouse doesn't move the cursor
- Unplug the receiver and re-plug it in
