I've currently been having mouse lag, specifically TES IV: Oblivion. I just started playing it again and for some reason, I'm noticing some mouse lag. It's not major, but it's enough to bother my gameplay. Is there anyway to reduce it or to stop mouse lag? I just played some CS:S and DoD:S and there wasn't any mouse lag noticeable, so I guess it's just with Oblivion.

Thanks,
~Azn

Have you tried the CPL mouse fix? That's supposed to stop mouse acceleration, which might cause a laggy feeling...

"The CPL Mouse Fix allows Windows XP users to counter-act the effects if locked mouse acceleration in Windows XP. This registry file is designed to fix only the problem associated with Windows XP. Use on operating systems other than Windows XP is at the sole risk of the user."

Taken from this website: http://www.gotfrag.com/portal/files/82/

I don't know if it'll do anything to solve your problem but I guess you can try using it. Before you use it though, make sure you have this downloaded and ready to go in order to restore the original settings: http://files.filefront.com/removemousefixzip/;4217286;/fileinfo.html

edit: The download from FPS Banana includes both >> http://www.fpsbanana.com/tools/717

I would use that, but it seems that it's for the OS itself? It's just happening in Oblivion for me...nothing else.

Basically what it does is remove the mouse acceleration in XP. The mouse will feel slower at first, but eventually you'll get used to it... the only reason why I suggested the mouse fix was because mouse acceleration sometimes causes the sensation of having a laggy mouse (laggy meaning responding slowly). If you meant lag as in jumping around and generally not being responsive, then I guess you'll need to wait for more suggestions :)
