Does anybody else have this problem?

Why when I shut down my pc, my mouse still works?

What kind of mouse is it? What do you mean still "works?" What exactly is it doing?

On cordless optical mice the light nearly always stays on and I expect laser mice are the same. It's nothing to worry about, the only way to stop it is to take out the batteries, but it will go into a low-power mode.

It is a Logitech Pilot Corded Laser Mouse. Here is the link:

It works just fine when my pc is turned on. When I turn off my pc, instead of turning off too, the laser is still on.

By the way, all the drivers are up to date.

the USB ports are still powered after the unit is off. I found this out when i got (and returned) my g7. The unit battery charge is powered by usb and I was skeptical that the unit will still charge when the computer was off...but it still charged.

I wouldn't be concerned, it doesn't consume much energy, and it's not doing any damage.
