MSI 6800 XT Flashing failed / Error reading from ROM / adapter not found error 0fl01

Hi,

Following the failed flashing of my card, it no longer works.

Cannot flash it again in software:

- amdvbflashWin = Error reading from ROM
- AtiFlash = adapter not found error 0fl01

There is nothing broken, only a failed flash via amdvbflashWin.

If anyone has a quick fix.

Why did you flash a 6800XT? was it that bad you would even risk bricking such an expensive card. I love how people fuck them up, then cry for help. Sheesh if it works leave it alone

You are totally right it is a mistake

try flashing with an older version of atiflash and with CMD as administrator

An older version might not work on a 6800XT

Try de MSI Center then go to Live Update (nothing to lose). I flash the Bios and no problem at all.

Sometimes it can give the wrong bios, so NO!

Hello, i have tried to flash the Powercolor Red Devil vbios to the XFX 590 Fatboy Core Edition 8GB 1545MHz but i have had the following error:

Saving bios to BIOS_backup.rom...

AMDVBFLASH version 3.20 EXTERNAL, Copyright (c) 2021 Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.

-f option not support in external version of the tool. Please refer to tool help for list of option supported

New SSID: 2391

Knowing it is MSI the way they handle Amd parts, they cheap out on their components.
