At least ASRock went with onboard 10Gbps Ethernet again on the Fatal1ty board, but the rest is rather dull in some ways. The boards are not as over the top as the Asus ROG board, but there's really nothing exciting about them either, apart for that guy that wanted 8 SATA ports in the Asus ROG board news post and the other one wanting at least two USB 2.0 headers :D
Plenty more info in the source links.

That AsRock cogwheel design is such a massive winner. I'd go for the brand just to have that in the case.

are we being sarcastic or truly honest? I kinda, sorta, almost, but not quite, like it even tho I really wish for different brighter color scheme.

No honestly man. Its a neutral color scheme so goes well with anything you put with it too.

my brother and I both currently have Ryzen builds with top of the line AsRock motherboards. they are a mostly good value for the asking price, but they severely lack fan headers. and of the very few included fan headers, some are either non-PWM or are bonded to adjacent headers and can not be controller independently. it's a completely stupid design choice. we had to spend nearly $100 on silverstone fan hubs.

ASrock included 5Gbps NICs on these boards, but they are useless. no one uses 5Gbps. no one! i wish they would have included extra fan headers instead of this useless NIC.

Fan headers have always been a problem, regardless of brand. It's only the past couple of generations of boards where it has improved. Gigabyte and MSI at least used to have exactly the same problem.

As for 5Gbps, what do you mean by "no one uses 5Gbps", it's a brand new standard that has been available for less than year, switches are coming later this year and at least some 10Gbps switches can also do 5Gbps. It's hard to "use" something that hasn't taken off yet, but with Asus' $99 10Gbps card that also supports 2.5 and 5Gbps, things just got really interesting. Also, QNAP is about to launch a 10/5/2.5/1Gbps switch for under $600 before the end of the year that should work nicely with it. Think if it as being future proof :p

You have a point right there. Someone should email them :D
