I am trying to upgrade my GT60 0NC from a GTX 670m because (its on its way out), to a GTX 870m that I have here. From my research I understand that I need a certain vbios like 51x or 30P or something for the card to work. I am hoping that a bios modder can help me here. Not exactly sure what I need to do I am hoping someone else knows more about this compatibility issue. Thank you for any and all help.

i have gt60-2oc with gtx 770m, replaced it with m3000m and it worked right away, just had to force install drivers

Just uninstall nvFermi drivers (GTX 670m), pull that mxm out and insert GTX870m in and install appropriate (nvKepler) drivers. Quite interesting that GTX 870m, it's like desktop GTX 670, but with 3GB of RAM (192-bit bus).
