MSI Lists GeForce GTX 1650 with GDDR6 Memory

According to VideoCardz, who found the latest EEC listing, MSI has prepared a new variant of NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card. In the listing, there are a total of eight new GeForce GTX 1650 graphics cards. Unlike the regular GTX 1650 GPU, these are a bit different. They feature improved GDDR6 memory and make up for the confusing stacking of these products.

The GTX 1650 SUPER model features GDDR6 memory, while the regular GTX 1650 had GDDR5 memory until now. With such a product that is between regular GTX 1650 and the SUPER model, MSI is creating a hybrid card. Having the same specifications as the GTX 1650, the only differentiator will be the memory and memory speed, where GDDR6 equipped card will be faster.

What confusion? You're afraid they'll ask us to flash BIOS?

It may simply mean that they're getting rid of GDDR5, i.e. removing non-SUPER cards from production. IMO they're already harder to find than SUPER successors.
1650 may be worth keeping because it's the cheapest model.

Well two of them are obviously LP. But other than that no idea, I reckon Low profile pcie slot powered full tu117 with gddr6 would be quite golden too, especially if priced right. There's just no names left for a such SKU in the current line up.

It's up to the buyer to get the right model. This isn't the first time there's a card with different memory types, and the model doesn't tell what memory it uses.

of course Nvidia would pull this kind of stunt as they're not done with the Turing GPU core... that said, I'm curious how this GTX1650 with GDDR6 memory performs. If it's close with the GTX1660 non-Ti or Super variant, Nvidia is just gonna ruin their own business.

I doubt that since 1650 Super also uses GDDR6. And 1650 has much less shaders and TMUs than 1650 Super.

Yeah, could be a great card if it's available in low-profile and without a PCIe power connector. Best option for those cheap SFF PCs for lightweight gaming.

Yeah but this time you are getting something better unlike those that bought a gtx1030 and ended with gddr4 or the RX 580 "2056" buyers that ended up with a RX 570.
