Mushkin Announces New Stealth and Redline 2800 MHz DDR3 Memory Kits

The latest models for the Stealth and Redline series will offer speeds of 2800Mhz. Both releases will come in DDR3 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB memory kits with 12-14-14-35 latency at 1.65V.

That's due to the IC's available to build 2800 MHz sticks, not Mushkin.

Ya, you're right, how far can your 1.5v 1600mhz C9 sticks clock on 1.5v? I personally find 2800mhz on original ddr3 specs of 1.65v to be pretty damn good

I use and recommend Muskin RAM but DDR3 RAM frequencies above 1600 MHz. are just for those who want to tinker with their PC. Test after test after test shows that DDR3 RAM on desktop PCs with CPUs do not show any significant system performance advantage with higher frequency RAM. Desktop APU systems will show some gains up to about 2133 MHz. Anything beyond these frequencies is throwing money away other than for entertainment purposes as DDR3 at the mentioned frequencies is not a system bottleneck, which is why the faster RAM shows no tangible benefit for typical desktop use.

BTW, all of this higher frequency RAM is just binned/overclocked/over-volted RAM. Theree is no DDR3 RAM specs for higher than 1333 MHz.

My Patriot Viper3 sticks are 2133Mhz at 1.5v by fabric. I don't think you can go faster with only 1.5v
