Mushkin Enhanced, one of the leading manufacturer for High Performance Computer Parts announces the availability of his first new memory kit in this year, the 4GB DDR2 kit called "996599r", which comes along in a noble aluminium case and eye-catching heatspreader.

The eXtreme performance series growns again, this time with a spectacular eye-catcher of first choice.
The 996599r kit is worldwide the first with neon-yellow heatspreader in "radioactive" design packed in a beautiful aluminium case. "Well, we only wanted to do this kit as a limited edition, but the demands of the customers were hugh, so we decided to do them as as "regular" series." says Steffen Eisenstein, CEO of Mushkin Logistic GmbH. "This kit is unique, also in his presentation!" he completes, visibly proud to offer such a unrevaled product.

Tobias Karl from the development and testing crew for Mushkin Europe points to the challenge to realize this "radioactive" project: "We had to move heaven and earth, tried reams of colors and tested all night long to become 100% satisfied with performance and visual appearance - and pricing of course!" And it was worth, the neon-yellow "screams": "HERE is the performance, HERE is the exclusivity!"
Like always, the 996599r kit is handselected and handtested with the known Frostbyte heatspreader supplied. With 1066MHz you will have a good overclocking potential, true to the company motto: "with Mushkin you get more".

Technical specs:
P/N 996599r
Series XP2
RAM-type DDR2 unbuffered
Capacity 4096MB
Kit 2x 2GB
Latency 5-5-5-15
Frequency 1066MHz

Heatspreader Advanced Frostbyte

may i say LOL?

They're beautiful.:rockout:

Omg

OMG, what do you do with the case once you install the ram.? I like a little bling but it looks over the top.

wtf, i wanted to say "lol" first :(
...
buggalugs, once you install the ram, you would use the case for your stash ...

Interesting. I'd buy that if they were priced competitively. I'm pretty happy with my Redlines right now though.

Good looking heatspreaders, but that's about it. I think we've already seen the best of the 2GB IC's. So really, so it's all about the bling. If it costs about the same as a set of Axe Ram or Gskill Pis, I'd consider buying them.

Unless these do DDR1200 they are worthless. I'd rather spend much less money on a Pair of Gskill DDR2-1000's that will likely do the same frequencies as these.

That paint they used inflates the price. As well as that briefcase.

i'd rather have another set of my ascents than these. the ascents have better heatsinks, not that they are needed.

Do they come with a Geiger counter?

+1. Couldn't agree more with you. If you still have the materials on hand for a soon to be EOL technology, just change some things, add some bling and put it on the market.

I must admit they are kinda sexy though.:pimp:

lets hope that those chips overclock accordingly to their name, if not, it would be a CHERNOBYL :nutkick:

It's going to give the rest of my parts cancer.:(

They look cool tho.:)

Want very much
